I bought two packs of this "henna" (not even sure what it is) because it could have overnight delivery and I was in a hurry because I was away on vacation and wanted to color my hair and get a henna tattoo. If you have ever worked with henna then you know that the dye is released in about 12 hours. When I received it I saw that it was brown, not green like it should be. I was skeptical. I use this hair color product as a base for indigo, dark brown and gray coverage. I had problems with an order and the company replaced the entire order free of charge. Very reliable service and great product.

This is my second review of this product. The first package I ordered was really amazing. Then I order a second time and it was the complete opposite of the first. Once touched there was no smell, no texture and most importantly when mixed with water it wasn't the same as before, it was all black paste. And to make matters worse when I applied it to my hair after soaking for 5 hours and rinsed it out after 2 hours, there was no color in my hair at all, it was a really horrible experience.

My first purchase of this brand of henna was a success. Everything went as usual and as expected. This second batch contained twigs. And after rinsing there was a black crumb in the shower tray. It also added very little color to my hair. I have been coloring my hair with henna for over 15 years and have never had such an experience. I have ordered countless other Merlion products (Neem, Amla, Tulsi etc.) as I have seen their wonderful effect on the overall look and growth of my hair and Henna is a new addition . This henna is much better than others I have used. I knead henna at night (with coffee) and in the morning (I add egg, olive oil, vitamin E, argan oil and indigo mixed with water) I apply it to my hair for 3 hours. Rinse, rinse, rinse a little more and you're done. Easy to use and my hair hasn't looked or felt this good since I was a child. Amazing difference in my hair and it covers the gray too!

I was in a hurry and couldn't wait 12 hours to apply it. After only 5 hours of curing, I applied it to my hair and left it on under a shower cap for 3 hours. To be honest I didn't expect to get such a cool color because I didn't follow the instructions, but it turned out great. Not only is the color beautiful, my hair is really soft and shiny.
