It's a spandex material. There are visible seams on the outside of the dress. My daughter loves dresses and unicorns, but she doesn't even look at this dress. That's very disappointing.

This is such a cute crown and it's hard to find ones this cute and simple. although on arrival one shell had already fallen off because the glue is really rubbish and the day before my daughter's birthday when she wanted to put it on the mermaid tail it broke and the other shell fell off. I had to tape it back with a pistol, but then even the largest projectile fell off. My daughter is sad it is being returned but not worth the money.
