Waste of Money and Time

bought 12 Meross lights, half of them weren't connected to HomeKit for the specific reason I bought them. I went to the Meross website and went through the troubleshooting steps there, which didn't help. I was also only able to get 9 of them to even connect to the Meross app. So after a day and a half I will return them with the lights and I will never buy a Meross product again.

Pros
  • Schedules and Energy Saving: You can set a schedule (timer) to turn on/off the smart light automatically according to your daily routine. Sunrise/Sunset mode supported. Using just 9 watts of electricity, which is equivalent to the brightness of a 60 watt incandescent light bulb, saves up to $8.19 per year.
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Stays Disconnected

You buy smart devices to integrate with your smart grid to make some of the smart devices work. If I only wanted one LED bulb I would only buy one of these. 3 of 4 easily connected, the 4th with difficulty, but managed. This was the high point. From there it went down the mountain. They kept falling off the grid. I went to bed and the next day they didn't connect at all. It's not a network signal issue as they are literally 6 1/2 feet line of sight from my router. They work as a normal light…

Pros
  • App Remote Control: Control your WiFi smart light bulb via the Apple Home app over a stable 2.4GHz WiFi network. No hub required. Also, you can use the Meross app to manage it from anywhere (with internet access). All data is securely transmitted and stored on Amazon AWS servers.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

It is possible that your order contains defective devices.

The lamps are good and the color is pretty good. The main issue is that one of the four bulbs won't connect to HomeKit. I've tried literally everything to connect but it still won't connect. You would think that for $50 for 4 bulbs all would work. I probably won't buy them again. Will probably try VOCOlinc next time. More expensive but as they say.... I get what you pay for.
