This purchase was my very first Smart Home purchase. I needed something that works with Apple Siri & Homekit to automate my lights. I read a lot of reviews and had mixed feelings. However, they had good reviews, so I mainly ordered because of the Apple Home support. I don't use Alexa or any of those devices, so the extra features aren't a plus for me. Anyway, the fact that it had its own app was key for me. It's true that the Apple Home on the device will only work if it's connected to the same Wi-Fi and not cellular data, but the fact of the matter is that the Meross app is bug-free and picking up enough of that radiation.

This product was originally great. It was pretty easy to set up through HomeKit, and once set up it stayed connected to HomeKit. Adding some automation was easy if you've used HomeKit, and I've done so for various scenarios. Everything was fine, maybe 2 weeks. Then we started having an incredibly annoying problem.
