my 5 year old loves these. There is nothing in them that they cannot climb. Sometimes the seam between the top of the boot and the bottom of the tongue bothers their foot because the tongue can slide down in a 5 year old newbie shoe. Also, the curved edge that fits the ankle is too high and rubs on my child's ankle. I have the same problem with shoes. A lower profile side vent like the See Kai Run would have been nice. These shoes are the best! My daughter has had them for about 9 months and wears them almost every day as they are her favorite. I agree with other reviews that they are great. These shoes are so light and flexible they really move with your foot. Many toddler shoes have thick, hard soles that make walking difficult.
