Good shoes. in my rating

This is our 8 year old grandson's second pair. The first were worn out with rubbed holes. He wears them every day, sometimes for sports and hiking. they hold up well. The price is good.

Pros
  • All the shoes I buy for my son break after a week or two. but they are very good quality! Highly recommended.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with high insteps

Well-made hiking shoes

Fits my two boys (3) (4) well, broke them in rainy conditions camping and AT. We walked about 4 miles and her feet were dry and blister free. Let's see how they hold up over time.

Pros
  • Continuous
Cons
  • Hard to find in stores

Expected them to last longer.

Great shoes at first sight. After a few months, holes appeared in the lattice. I'm disappointed. The quality is not what I expected from Merrell.

Pros
  • Waterproof" except for the entire mesh for ventilation.
Cons
  • May not be breathable enough for some kids

Very cute and comfy

My daughter didn't want them at first because she wasn't used to so many shoes, but she's glad we had them on our mountain holiday.

Pros
  • I have these for my kid to explore the forest and they are great! Great grip, easy to put on and take off, just a quality boot overall!
Cons
  • Limited color options

Colorado Tested in my review

We live in the Colorado Rockies 10,000 feet above rugged terrain. We hike a lot and our friend definitely checked it out. They've stood the test of mud, snow and rain and still look brand new. It is also a great casual shoe for general use.

Pros
  • Super Comodo, impervious material ideal for use in Luvia and Niva.
Cons
  • Great shoes BUT you had 8 days and the laces on one shoe failed. AMAZON refused to exchange them with it

Children's hiking shoes are the best in my rating

My 5 year old loves these boots. They are strong, adhere well even to bulk materials. The ankle brace seems to work well for him and he says it's comfortable. Even though you pay more when you buy Merrells, I feel comfortable knowing that it has to be a quality product that won't let you down.

Pros
  • They are perfect for my daughter's hikes. Merrel great boots
Cons
  • Might not fit

Great for kids, best in my rating

These are the best hiking shoes we've bought for our boys. No laces to tie or snag on spikes. Ideal for hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Fits great. Makes a robust and well-made impression. I still love her and my grandson loves her too. Win, win.
Cons
  • They are not waterproof and seem to stink very badly. Only worn a few times.

No comfortable shoes

For adults who fit in children's shoes, there is absolutely no padding or arch support in these boots. From the moment I put them on I could tell they would be a nightmare to hike or walk around in.

Pros
  • Great fit. The baby is almost 4 years old, she is 10.5.
Cons
  • May have a shorter lifespan than other children's hiking shoes.

Cons
  • I saved them for Christmas and the laces on my shoes broke.

Perfect for my trip to The Narrows

I usually wear women's shoes in size 6 1/2, but I can also wear children's shoes in size 5 plus. I have paired them with neoprene socks to keep my feet warm while hiking the Narrows and they are perfect. Walking in deep water will get your feet wet, but socks help keep me warm. These boots didn't slide in the water, they were perfect for my hike.

Pros
  • Comfortable. stylish. Really waterproof!
Cons
  • May not provide adequate arch support for some children

Great outdoor shoe!

Great for kids, these Merrell ankle boots are durable, warm and waterproof. They're easy to put on and take off with a Velcro strap instead of annoying laces. They are stylish, durable and great value for money. They are true to size and have enough width for chubby feet. Thumbs up ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Pros
  • the instep was narrower than expected. But good fabric, size is ok.
Cons
  • The laces cannot be untied which makes it very difficult for my son to put them on... ended up returning

Top line for children!

You can't fake quality! Merrell is one of the top 3 hiking shoe brands. I'm sure when hiking with my 5 year old daughter she stays safe and happy to use the best gear!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for children with sensitive feet

Great shoes for my little one!

Sturdy shoes for a 4 year old. Great grippy outsole and durable upper. They fit perfectly and are my kids' favorite shoes. Walk a few kilometers on sandy ground and even cross a few tiny creeks. Excellent waterproofing just an inch or two from the water. There is definitely wear on the upper outer near the top lug. Most likely from sitting across the sidewalk. I would have liked a more durable fabric. But would definitely buy them again.

Pros
  • They look great, she loves the feel and they are grippy. Good shoes for playing in the mud or hiking the trail
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other children's hiking shoes.

Big hit! In my opinion

This is the first time in a long time that I've bought shoes for my teenager and haven't had to beg him to wear them! He put them on the next day to play disc golf. He loves the velcro straps and they keep his feet dry.

Pros
  • It is great! She jumped right into her.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to put on and take off

Durable boots - my new test report

Bought these for my 6 year old. Bought the regular size. It has wide dishes but these fit perfectly. They look well made and will last a while. He's hiked them a few times and says they're comfortable and the grip is good. Use mainly on dry slopes. Haven't used it in the water yet.

Pros
  • Nice looking shoes. While holding my 10 year old grandson.
Cons
  • Can have hard soles

Shoes already worn!

A Revain seller with poor quality control sent this previously worn shoe and sold it as NEW. There is a Revain Wearhouse where you can sell used shoes. They should be classified as they are. 1 star Revane. The shoes themselves are fine.

Pros
  • Excellent quality! The Velcro closure makes it easy for children to use and transport. Good quality and great fit.
Cons
  • Difficulty finding replacement parts or repairs

Excellent boots in my review.

Bought these boots for my 9 year old son for a trip to Arizona. We walked for over an hour and couldn't complain. The boots fit him well, they are very stylish and great for the snow. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Daughter loves these shoes. She uses it every day.
Cons
  • Extremely small for its size

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good shoes, sizes are VERY small

I ordered her half a size up to have enough room for her toes. She could barely put her legs in and her fingers got caught at the end. I don't have time to re-order a larger pair so swear I'm the wrong size. I recommend ordering a full size or even a size and a half larger than usual.

Pros
  • These boots are great. I loved them so much I bought another pair when my 4 year old outgrew the first pair.
Cons
  • Possibly not suitable for everyday use

Really waterproof! in my opinion

Merrell has a great quality and the Waterproof is really waterproof! We have had several couples in the family and I trust their product on our wet and snowy adventures!

Pros
  • Very good and durable winter shoes for a 10 year old, great price.
Cons
  • My son wore them to explore, it rained off and on so his socks and toes got wet.

Very durable and high quality shoes!

There is nothing to complain about, comfortable, durable and ideal for the development of baby's feet and also protects the ankles and feet!

Pros
  • The best hiking shoes for children
Cons
  • Can have a long break-in period
