Description of π§ Uncoated YG 1 28593 Carbide Alu Power
High velocity milling of aluminum & other non-ferrous materials. 3flute and 45Β° helix allow harmonic balance at high speed condition and smooth cutting. Improved surface roughness-cylindrical margin which is controlled tightly. Maximum-metal removal rate. Superior chip evacuation.
The YG-1 is a great cutting tool you can't go wrong with. They are very sharp, use the cap provided when installing or removing them on the grinder. The cutter is highly recommended.
This end mill provides perfect finishes on aluminum and 6061 shank with a mirror finish! This end mill absorbs aluminum like butter, oh and did I mention the high gloss finish lol!
This is a different type of end mill than the ones I usually use. It's phenomenal for removing 6061 aluminum from parts that require a lot of removal. You can slide them through faster with a very smooth cut! I don't want to be without it now that I work with a lot of plastic and heat-treated aluminum. I'm not sure if this is recommended for steel. need to check it out.
This thing grinds aluminium. I usually mill steel parts and using 4-6 teeth for aluminum is not very practical for the machine. This thing broke in my projects and is still in great condition.
My CNC's max spindle size is 6K, these end mills wish I had more! On the 6061 I push the 5500 at 90+ ipm, 1/8 radial depth and 7/8 inch deep per pass. Machining a rooster tail on a CNC machine. Amazing tool!
We've been using aluminum end mills on the T6-6061 for a number of years. They're a little cheaper than other brands and work just as well. We run them at 575 square feet per minute and 0.006 chips per tooth and they offer long service life.
