Great test bits, best in end mills

I'm a CNC newbie and to be honest I won't be buying Amanda's $350 kit. These were great cheap parts that helped me understand the learning curve and they work well with my Snapmaker A350.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Small parts

Three bits broke off on first engraving

I'm hoping I received a broken set as I don't understand how these things can be advertised as cutters. waste of my dollars. There are no clear size markings, otherwise I would have noticed which size broke. They were somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other bits

some good some bad on ball point

some of them are good but others are not very good and wear out quickly - 2/4 fluted end mills are sharp and cut well - ball point has a cutting diameter marked on the back of it , it's actually 1.95mm - the V-bit is pretty much junk after 2 quick projects, you could clearly see that a significant part of the bit is already worn out

Pros
  • many positive vibes
Cons
  • frequency

Great bits but need sizes

I've used a few of these bits on my CNC with no problems, but I've noticed that a lot of the odd bits aren't sized there. I have no idea what size they should program into the toolpath. I'll have to use a caliper to hopefully get close enough. I also wish this set had a bit more type variety, like some v.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not bad

Spherical tips need refinishing before use

Decent set. The spherical tip does not have a properly sharpened tip. Some have a neutral facet, but most have a negative facet. This means the back of the cutting edge touches the work surface so there is just a lot of friction/heat at the tip and then it breaks. If you can bevel the tip properly before use, spherical tips work well. I used the flat end of a Dremel cutting wheel to hold the tip in place.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Best suited for milling accessories

I haven't used all of them because there are so many. I started with a 1/8" flat end and it's a beast. It's been through a lot and it's been great. I then used a 1/8" 2mm ball end. 2 of them broke during the same test cut. They seem very brittle. Finally I used a 2mm gold colored rotary cutter. Like the 3mm flat drill it seems solid, I don't know if I accidentally got 2 bad round ends in a row but I'm worried about the rest.

Pros
  • Ball point
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Everything seemed fine. Small brittle

I like the size selection. I'm a beginner so don't take my review as I absolutely know what I'm talking about. I broke every little piece. I did this through a job with them and it worked fine. But the next broken. I dropped one and it broke too. I'm not sure if the feed rate was too high or what. One broke into a knot in the woods. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. Overall it was a cheap set with lots of bits. Allowed me to practice running multiple toolpaths for one job.

Pros
  • Cutting tools
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Bought for non-traditional use

I had them trimmed and added clean mounting holes to the resin casts. Does the job very well. I can drill as usual and then swing the drill up and down to drill in an X shape to allow the loop to go through without creating too big a hole. It should also be noted that I used spiral grooved drill bits, the circle is cut in the past. They are blunt and break easily. I plan to test them on it in the future. Judging by the increased filament and the significantly higher sharpness, I think they will

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Drill Pack
