    Something is wrong 🧐

I was so excited to get these as a prime day deal but think they might be reproductions. The edges are frayed, glue is visible, there is no branding on the insole. My daughter has a pair of Merrels and I have compared them and she has no issues and there is a brand name on the insoles. We're going on a hike soon and he needs it or I'd be back.

    Pros
    • She couldn't wear it because the hi-top was too high in the back.
    Cons
    • Compre este par have un mes, y se gastaron muy rapido la suela es súper delgada y muy mala calidad

Outstanding durability and surprisingly light weight

They have a nice streamlined look and the lashes are very thin, light and strong. Everything if the materials seem new to me. Better, lighter, stronger. These are lightweight and durable shoes.

    Pros
    • Sleek design and bright berry color make these boots a stylish and functional addition to any wardrobe.
    Cons
    • May not be easy enough for some activities

Not waterproof at all! But great boots

They are excellent as hiking shoes, durable, flexible and comfortable shoes. However, we were very disappointed that they didn't keep our feet dry! Completely soaked! I unfortunately find it unfair that they are advertised and labeled as waterproof when they are clearly not waterproof. I have contacted Walmart support and I hope they can find a good solution for us.

    Pros
    • We've been camping all over South Dakota and my 6 year old son has never complained about being hurt or hot.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for people with flat feet

    Excellent quality and waterproof

My 7 year old loves them. We bought them for hiking and he also used them for horseback riding. He says they are very comfortable and fit as expected.

    Pros
    • The wide tip ensures that your toes have enough room to feel comfortable and relaxed.
    Cons
    • Not suitable for people with metatarsalgia

In my opinion not as described

I was looking for shoes without laces. This one was described as having an 'alternative closure', which to me meant the child didn't have to tie their shoelaces. I literally went back and ordered the same shoe twice due to an inaccurate description.

    Pros
    • excellent
    Cons
    •  Depending on the sole of the shoe, boots look worn/used!

It's tough! the best in my rating

Bought these for our granddaughter when she plays with the neighbors kids on a sleepover weekend. She wears them in the stable, at the pond and through muddy puddles. I throw them in the wash and they are like new!

    Pros
    • Ideal for difficult terrain and rocky surfaces
    Cons
    • May not provide adequate toe protection

    Not waterproof: my review

Bought them for a week long trip to Iceland. When I wore them for the first time, my child stepped into a deep puddle and got his socks wet! What a waste of money!

    Pros
    • My daughter loves these boots. They fit great and are great for hiking
    Cons
    • The rubber starts to wear out after a few socks.

More like tennis shoes than hiking shoes.

Not what I expected. Returned due to fit. My granddaughter had the same ones and they weren't very good for walking - they slipped over rocks and looked more like tennis shoes with big rubber toecaps.

    Pros
    • Strong and durable material ensures these boots will stand up to any adventure.
    Cons
    • Not suitable for people with a split leg

    Comfortable and well made

My son says they are very comfortable straight away and have held up well for a week on long trails (10-15 miles) with no blisters on his feet.

    Pros
    • The quality of the shoes looks great. My son has wide feet so his normal size felt too tight for his comfort.
    Cons
    • Not suitable for wide feet

    Actually not waterproof

Bought these for my son as they were listed as fully waterproof. His feet were still pretty wet the first time he used it (bought for vacation so hadn't used it before) - not exactly waterproof but obviously with the rear window closed.

    Pros
    • The antimicrobial screen prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria and germs.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for arthritis sufferers

    Careful with flat feet...

I bought these for my 8 year old daughter whose arches collapsed. The shoe itself is great. Great quality, strength, great profile, durability but I didn't expect anything less from Merrell. Last weekend we climbed Jo's mountain and halfway through she started complaining about pain in her ankles. We think it was an arch support issue because it was both ankles so I would suggest if your child has flat feet and you actually hike with them, buy a good orthopedic insole and adjust your boot…

    Pros
    • The snug fit prevents slipping and bagging and keeps you comfortable all day long.
    Cons
    • Not suitable for people with heel pain

    Poor quality in my rating

Bad quality, used. Now I buy shoes and clothes in stores and not at Walmart. Paid 50€ for it and it's not worth it. That's my review.

    Pros
    • Super good and strong!!
    Cons
    • The child has fallen twice from the step onto his butt without Gripshon. Nothing for wet, slippery tracks.

Worth the money in my opinion

Bought for my daughter on a hike. Loved them, the durability was excellent, even got stuck in a few showers and their feet were never wet. Merrell is a great brand, prices were cheaper compared to Walmart!

    Pros
    • I bought these shoes for my granddaughter. They're durable and really helped her keep loose materials on the trail.
    Cons
    • Possible discomfort with prolonged use

    doesn't last. to my rating.

Well I wanted to love these boots. I have children who are Boy Scouts and we do a lot of outdoor family activities. For life in PNW it was important that my children had "waterproof" walking shoes. We've tried many brands but always come back to Keen or Merrell as top contenders. Both with their weaknesses. The biggest downside has always been the price - something I could justify initially because when I started buying hiking boots for my kids 8 years ago (when my eldest was 4) they lasted at…

    Pros
    • Flexible design fits all foot types
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for diabetics

    Merrell's are the best

Great fit and my son loves them. Says these are his favorite shows he's ever had. Totally waterproof, tested many times in Chicago snow/mud.

    Pros
    • The Merrell brand is very good quality and this seller had them at a great price. Perfect fit for my son's foot.
    Cons
    • i like shoes The size is larger than usual and the strings are too thin. Otherwise good shoes.

    Excellent shoes in my review

Great shoes. Very convenient. Had to buy laceless shoelaces for my 6 year old daughter. For young children, consider buying Scottish soybeans.

    Pros
    • Merrell has the best walking shoes. Waterproof as expected and very comfortable to walk on. My daughter loves pink.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

Totally NOT waterproof or waterproof :(

Super cute but they were a huge disappointment. We bought these as walking shoes and unfortunately we went hiking today and when it started to rain a little they filled up Shoes easy with every drop of rain and soaked their feet and insoles. We didn't buy these for jumping in puddles but expected them to withstand light/medium rain on a hike. Nice boots if you only wear them in completely dry weather. Expect more from this brand :/

    Be careful with flat feet...

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter whose arch has fallen apart. The shoe itself is great. Great quality, strength, great profile, durability but I didn't expect anything less from Merrell. Last weekend we climbed Jo's mountain and halfway through she started complaining about pain in her ankles. We think it was an arch support issue because it was both ankles so I would suggest if your child has flat feet and you actually go hiking with them, buy a good orthotic and adjust your boot…

Used and worn shoes! Too much money for used shoes!

I bought each of my granddaughters 50 dollars a pair. Both pairs of shoes were clearly worn and dirty inside and out. Nowhere in the order was there any mention of using these shoes. I'm frustrated and angry because I would never buy used shoes for my grandkids, especially for $50. As I bought them for a hike I will try to wash them a few times and hope for the best. At the moment I've bought at least clothes and shoes from Revain. Please make sure they are new before buying or returning them.

    Pros
    • Clothes, shoes and jewelry
    Cons
    • Somewhat wrinkled
