My kids love these shoes as they stand up to both their school day and the area around the house. BUT...the laces started to stretch from day one! And this son and daughter pair (in a girly style and one size larger) stretched. My son's laces are both broken and I can't find replacement laces. If laces lasted almost as long as shoes, this rating would be a 5!

Bought for an 8 year old. These are beautiful and comfortable shoes that boys like very much. However, the build quality of the shoes is terrible. After 2 months, the seams in the front came loose with poor quality stitching. Kids are naturally picky about shoes, but I was hoping that a $50 pair of shoes would last longer. I bought them at Walmart "Merrell" so I hope they aren't fake. Your replacement will be something other than Merrell shoes and not Walmart.

We haven't had these shoes in a very long time and they are literally falling apart. The seams are torn, the seams are unraveling - even with normal wear. You are a mess. I regret having bought it.

These shoes are laces that need to be tied. The picture doesn't show the tied laces and they looked like they needed to be tightened. Not what I intended for my special needs son. Sad.

Bought for my 13 year old daughter. She has a narrower foot, these fit her. She says they are very comfortable (these are her everyday shoes) and she has no complaints.

Amazing shoes, color and style. They just feel too tight for the experience we've had with the brand. We've always had fly pants and they seemed comfortable from day one. I went up half a size and not much has changed except for the length.

The shoes looked very nice and durable on arrival. However, after 4-5 weeks of regular use, both shoes started to develop a hole where the fabric meets the toe. Very disappointed considering a cheaper brand would last at least 6 months. I thought Merrell was a good brand and would last, but won't be buying again.
