Not "waterproof ", may be waterproof.

Mmm, I almost returned it. I don't think they are waterproof. My baby socks are always wet when we get home. Now that I think about it, the larger sizes I bought are definitely not waterproof. Aside from not being waterproof, they are great for short hikes in the woods. They are fairly light and comfortable as you would expect from a foam soled hiking shoe. They appear to be a bit large, which is also great.

Pros
  • Rubber sole
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Really NOT waterproof

They fit well and provide good ankle coverage but I was put off by other reviews saying they weren't waterproof so decided to test this before I read the Kids dress them up on the trail. I used a garden hose to mimic a rain shower. The first drops were repelled by the fabric, but very soon the paper I put inside got wet, especially where the suede meets the mesh. I didn't even need much water from my artificial rain to get wet. They will never survive a real downpour or "survive" by stepping in

Pros
  • Lightweight EVA midsole for cushioning and comfort
Cons
  • Requires rosette

Non-waterproof

They're great, but they're not waterproof. My feet always got wet when there was snow on the ground, even if I was just walking around town on the sidewalk. Silicone treatment didn't help at all. I think they are leaking at the seams at the top. Otherwise they are great but I really wanted the boots to stay dry. UPDATE: After 5 months of frequent use they are gone. A few seams burst open, get wet and stay that way even with light dirt. That wouldn't be a problem if they didn't take forever to…

Pros
  • Non-marking outsole with M Select GRIP for superior traction
Cons
  • Little things
