More like TG3 - big improvement

I had TG 5, 4 and 3. 6 is more like 4 which was safest and had the best control. Zooming out by 1/2 still works well. Big update compared to 5 imo.

Pros
  • Lightweight and comfortable to wear
Cons
  • Can not stay comfortable with long-term use

Too narrow. I wear TG4 and 5

Love my trail gives 4 and 5. I couldn't even get my foot in 6 no matter how far I untied my laces. Dissatisfied! Why change something good?

Pros
  • Impressively! This is my second pair. For fitness reasons, I walk a lot.
Cons
  • Too narrow, I've worn Trail 2, 3 and 4 with no problems. they are so narrow that even standing in them hurts, and my feet are narrow.

Day 1 so far so good - my new review

I received my shoes, they looked a bit small before putting on. After I did that and kept them for a few hours, they came off nicely. I have a wide foot, but loosening the laces helps at the widest part of the foot. I love the deep cut and the color, this is exactly what I was looking for! So far, so good

Pros
  • Laconic and stylish design
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with wide feet.

Those aren't the shoes

Why call him #6 when he's completely different? It's narrow in the fingers and narrow in the middle, the worst combination. The sole is too hard and has bulges. A great shoe for many years, but not anymore! I sent them back after only wearing them for two weeks.

Pros
  • I love Merrell shoes!
Cons
  • May not fit all foot sizes

Not very durable: my rating

When I first bought them they seemed very comfortable and perfect for trail running. After wearing this shoe for about 3 months and less than 250 miles in the water the soles are already starting to fall off and the once thick rubber on the bottom now feels thin and my foot feels every jagged rock. Not a durable product, will not buy from this company again or recommend their products.

Pros
  • Offers a natural running feeling
Cons
  • Not recommended for people with foot injuries

Ideal for disc golf

This is my third pair of trail gloves. It gets better every time. I play golf in Austin, Texas and these shoes really help. The shoes are also great for everyday city life. Can't wait to wear them and get new ones!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor adventures
Cons
  • Some users may not have enough pillows

Last review is not a fan

I liked the Trail 5 gloves. 6 is now too narrow and has an elastic "toe" that keeps the tongue down when you put your foot in. I love the lace pattern and the way they extend down the sides. However, just too narrow

Pros
  • Provides excellent arch support
Cons
  • Not ideal for a formal or business setting

If you like walking barefoot, don't buy these shoes.

After wearing all previous versions of this shoe for years (versions 1-5) with enthusiasm and success (this shoe changed my life) I was very disappointed that Merrell decided to just make a shoe like all the others. Too much arch support, too big sole, too narrow. It's the opposite of what I should do barefoot as a minimalist. So go back to the drawing board Merrell or fire the team that designed this or change the name of this. I hope you do it right next year. Try 2, 3 or 4 to see what it…

Pros
  • Features a durable outsole
Cons
  • The user may have to hack them, which causes discomfort

Narrow toe, high arch support

I ordered these hoping to get something like the Vapor Glove with a slightly larger sole. That's not it. They have very high and stiff arch support, a noticeably narrower toe box, and paired up slightly longer than the same size for some reason. Very disappointed with it and would not recommend it to anyone who liked the fit of the vape glove.

Pros
  • Can be used in wet and dry conditions
Cons
  • May not provide enough toe support for some people

Tiny sock, terrible seams. A wonderful thing ruined!

The entire shoe feels a lot narrower than previous versions, the toe box is just awful. Worst of all, the strap that connects the tongue to the boot (photo 1 as far as I could) is sewn with a thick seam that also connects parts of the boot itself. This thick seam runs right where the big toe meets the foot and can cause many painful blisters for some unfortunate souls. I'll be right back, looking at shoes outside of the glove range for the first time in years.

Pros
  • Provides a comfortable and secure fit
Cons
  • May have difficulty breathing

No bare shoes

I've been wearing trail gloves since 2016. When the 4th came out I bought 3 pairs. I love trail gloves. That's not it. The toe is stuck, the sole is stiff and too thick. I don't know why they changed it but they are terrible. I can hardly fit into them. Now I will guess which Merrel shoes I will buy from now on. So disappointing. Merrel may have lost a very good customer.

Pros
  • Breathable design for maximum comfort
Cons
  • Cannot withstand frequent use

Return to Trail Glove 5.

All in all it's not a bad shoe but the 5 was much better. The worst thing about this shoe. Small dirt got under the insole and could not be removed. It took me 3 weeks to wash them and suffered from small lumps under my feet.

Pros
  • Provides lasting comfort
Cons
  • Possibly lack of flexibility for athletes

Toe box too tight compared to Trail Glove 4

Left to right: Trail Glove 4, Trail Glove 5, Trail Glove 6.TLDR: Trail Glove 6 is much tighter toe box, than the Trail Glove 4 and a bit tighter than the Trail Glove 5. It's quite disappointing, the Trail Glove 4 is basically the perfect shoe with a big toe box, I felt the Trail Glove 5 (I hardly wore it) took a step was back in a stiffer arch feel and overall design. Now when I try the Trail Glove 6 the toe box is quite tight and I want to try another shoe brand, it's definitely disappointing…

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Only available in white

Not resistant to Athletic

Three months of use - twice a week for aerobics and the protection is already peeling off. You have to deduct 1 star from them. ---- They have arch support but they don't raise my heel. At first they were a bit tight and digging into my leg near the pinky toe, but they loosened up. high. They're pretty tight around the ankle (to keep rocks out I guess) so just be aware that you have to unlace them a lot more than regular sneakers to put them on.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Weak kit

Toe box too tight compared to Trail Glove 4

Left to right pictures: Trail Glove 4, Trail Glove 5, Trail Glove 6. Trail Glove 4 and slightly tighter than Trail Glove 5. This is quite disappointing , The Trail Glove 4 is basically the perfect big toe boxing shoe, I felt like the Trail Glove 5 (I hardly wore it) was a step down to feel more arch stiffness and overall construction. Now when I try the Trail Glove 6 the toe box is quite tight and it makes me want to try another shoe brand, it's definitely disappointing because the Trail Glove…

Pros
  • Laces completely redesigned
Cons
  • Annoying
