I have worn Merrell trail gloves for many years. I've had over half a dozen pairs and they keep changing shoes for the worse. This model has finally exceeded all expectations. The Trail Glove 5s was a completely wrong step in the wrong direction, but still recommended. However, this Trail Glove 6 is downright bad. For some incomprehensible reason, Merrell has completely abandoned everything that made the Trail Glove a popular model for a decade. The TG2, TG3 and TG4 were great shoes barefoot with some extra support so while not exactly minimal they made for a slightly grippier, more robust and sporty feel, great for trails for example. I had Trail Glove 4s for years until they finally wore out. I ordered them thinking they would be similar but the design is completely different. The Trail Glove 4 had a wider forefoot that allowed the toes to splay on impact like a good minimalist shoe. must. They are very narrow in the forefoot area. I ran less than a mile and started getting severe pumps in my calves and pain in my legs. The next day I changed it back to 4-ku and no problems.

I bought these because falling of other running shoes caused pain in my knees. I've been using the Trail Glove 5 for a while with no pain so I decided to give it a try. My first outing was a technical trail marathon with some type of mud/snow/surface. They played fantastic. Just be careful on slippery/wet flat rocks, slopes and ice but that is to be expected from any shoe. Worth buying, fix your feet!

The sole on it is falling apart and peeling off less than a month after purchase. Poorly designed or badly built. Very dissatisfied with this purchase.

After a few months of wearing and wearing (not even every day) the rubber on the upper mesh is coming off. Otherwise comfortable shoe and looks good. About as barefoot as a pair of Converse

These are really great shoes for running or hiking. I can wear them all day and my feet are comfortable and the arch keeps them from getting tired.

I liked previous trail gloves but the 6 is a big disappointment. The toe is too narrow and uncomfortable. I will look into other zero drop shoes. Hopefully Merrell brings back the broad toe in the Trail Glove 7 (lucky number and all).

I like the 4s and 5s trail gloves; 6 has too much arch, too stiff sole and too much padding. It also fits at least a full size smaller. I liked the new look but it should have had a different nickname, it's not a trail glove.

Great minimalist shoe. Ideal for weightlifting and light trail running/jogging. The padding on the back next to the Achilles tendon is a game changer. I switched to them from the New Balance Pit and I'm a fan of them.

This sneaker line used to have a minimalist approach and I liked that about it. Now they hardly differ from other trail shoes.

I love these shoes. Very convenient. My only complaint is that the lace holes stretch and don't feel like they are fully tightened. But they don't feel free or anything.

First of all they said they were true to size and I ordered a size 12 which is the size of my NB Minimus shoes which I walk in comfortably. The Merrells were very close and guessing wouldn't help. I don't wear wide shoes, but these are narrow! They fit - they are definitely an 11.5 but not very comfortable which surprised me as I usually love hiking shoes and Merrill boots. Heck, I don't wear boot style pants, they make me look like me. that it's a bad product, but it's definitely not what I expected.

Other minimalist shoes were too wide for my narrow foot and puckered up when laced up. Also, they look too silly with outlines on the toes or print on the fabric.
