Great little product. They needed a "lobster night" with friends and wanted to find the best way to butter corn on the cob. They worked great. Glad there were two packs. We particularly liked the "push end" to keep your fingers out of the oil. After the evening - with oil leftovers, a bit soft - we just put them in the fridge and when the oil had set it was easy to squeeze out the leftovers for other uses. Definitely recommend this product.

The first problem is that most sticks of butter or margarine are about an inch longer than the body of this spreader, so you can't start with a full stick of butter. Then, when someone takes a loaded oil distributor out of the refrigerator, the oil becomes so hard that it is difficult to push through. If you let the oil soak a bit, it will just flow out. Only gave 4 stars because my husband liked it less than I did. If you put butter in and refrigerate and then take it out cold to churn, you have to press fairly hard and often to get the butter to spill and spread. I had no problems and I think it's WAY better than oiling myself up and trying to butter myself with a knife. So I would suggest taking it out a bit before using it and letting it soften a bit before using it to spread, especially if you put it on something soft like toast instead of
