Metabo WEV 1500 125 RT Grinder: Powerful and Reliable Grinding Performance Review

Like Metabo, I have a 4 1/2" grinder from them and it works great, bought a 5" grinder and love it. Disappointment came quickly though when I was removing the paint from the D11 knuckle which was about to scald and suddenly the mill stopped and the engine started smoking. Of course, also outside of the 30-day guarantee period.

So far I like the coffee grinder, but I would like to know that we can be sure that it is just as good as the machines made in Germany and that the quality is not inferior to the German machines. The product page says Made in Germany, but when I got it, the tag said "Made in CHINA". So my problem is, are the German-made devices really that good and reliable, and if so, how can we be sure of their quality?

Awesome Grinder. This is my second Metabo, they are addicting. It was a WEV 1500-125 RT (rat tail) 4.5"/5" angle grinder. $70 off for low usage. If I hadn't been told it was being used I would never have known. It's immaculate and runs like a bat out of hell! 35% off an item because the box has been opened and possibly used a few times? Damn yes, I'm in, every time! Be careful when buying one of these as you will likely end up buying him multiple siblings.
