The cap was difficult to screw onto the metal gas bottle. After all, I still smell gasoline after installing it. Not recommended.

Totally dissatisfied. I needed a gas bottle cap with a spout. This product image shows the discontinuation. But I only received the lid. I wasted my time and money.

I bought this lid for an old steel can but it didn't fit. I put it on a new septre can I bought at Lowe's and it fit without any inserts. Excellent work.

The red hard plastic cap is perfect for an old 5 gallon round metal gas can from the 1960's. We lost ours about 15 years ago and used an old rag to plug the hole. I'm so glad I found this.

I used them on two old Eagle brand gas cylinders. One required a 1-1/2" cap and the other a 1-3/4". This product offers a lid that can be any of these sizes. The black ring is a threaded insert that transitions the red cap from the larger diameter to the 1-1/2" diameter. It worked great.
