Jacks Stay Jacks

An inexpensive way to develop hand-eye coordination and a great way to have fun with your child or grandchild. Now that the weather is getting colder, we tend to substitute electronic games for outdoor activities, but boys remain nesters. Interactive and challenging and a way to build relationships while improving motor skills.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Reliable

I just wanted balls anyway and I couldn't.

I just need orbs anyway and couldn't just find orbs. I have a project where I needed 12 and that's what I got, the sockets themselves aren't worth a dime. Metal jacks are about half the size of real jacks, and unless you have the smallest hands with thin fingers, you won't be able to lift them off the ground.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Swap availability

Unbalanced balls will fly anywhere but up and down.

Real tantrum! Balls are bouncing everywhere! No kidding, they hop left, right, for you! Balls are also cheap crumbly. Jacks are small and light. No old-fashioned look. But I gave them to some kids and they threw a tantrum at the silly unbalanced balls! Cheap is not a word for quality. Very sad because we are wasting resources on this garbage.

Pros
  • The best in his niche
Cons
  • Negative impression

Fine Motor Sky: Alignment and Stabilization

I bought these to play with my elementary school students who have fine motor skills issues. You love the game. It also helps with arithmetic, especially adding 10. It also helps this middle-aged woman's fine motor skills; I'm not as smart as I used to be! Only thing is the sets are in sets of 8 which the seller notes but at this price you just buy a few extras to regroup the jacks into sets of 10. The metal is strong; The ball bounces just right. it's a kind of super ball.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • I Say No

Not the Jackies I played with!

I was looking for a set of jacks to teach my 7 year old granddaughter how to play and took the risk of buying them. The kit contains 12 sets of 8 jacks in bags and a ball. I need to team up to make sets of 10. The sockets themselves are small. They're about 3/4 the size of the jacks I remember, but they're better than giant jacks that don't fit in a kid's hand. The ball has a great bounce but I still prefer a golf ball. In general, the sockets are sufficient, but not ideal.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

Jacks/Old School - Van Parts & Accessories

I loved playing jacks when I was a little girl (we won't talk about how long ago that was LOL). However, I understand that today's kids don't know how to play the decent games we used to play because they are too busy playing Wii, Playstation, DS, PSP, Xbox, etc. and don't move be able. I'm a teacher and I decided to bring some of the old school games to show my students how to play, hoping they'll keep passing them on to other friends. When I brought the boys they fell in love with the game…

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Band
