I installed this with a new Sony CDX-GT110 radio/CD to improve local NPR channel reception. It seems to help a little even though I live on a hillside. When I turn it off, the reception changes a bit, maybe it makes more difference for others. Although it helps.ACG

I live in a city where 5 radios are under one roof. Only the station I like pulls in and out at different points. I've paired this with a ground loop isolator for noise reduction. And I have no problem, I receive my favorite station clearly. This is not a magic black box. Just a little momentum. I'm happy with that.

Before installing it in the dash, I checked by pulling the radio out of the dash and wiring it in series from the antenna to the radio. 12 V. connected with a jumper. Tune into an FM station with poor reception that I wanted to improve. The amp was on, the red LED lit when I pushed the button.
