Not Suitable: Audio & Video Accessories

You get what you pay for. General assembly of the part. Found while looking for my '98 Jeep Cherokee. said it fits Not nearly.

Shit quality. in audio and video accessories

Rust almost immediately and Metra does not endorse their product. I took it out of the car to keep my fender from rusting.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • weak

Great antenna in AV accessories

I bought a power antenna and the reception was terrible, I replaced it with a Metra antenna and the reception was great. Highly recommended. Great price too.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Update available

Fits Exactly - Car Electronics

Putting on my 1996 Toyota Tacoma because the old one was snapped off by a branch moving in front of me :). Beyond the installation that can be a chore

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Upgradable

Useless junk: audio and video accessories

This antenna is a big disappointment. "Mast" is absolutely flimsy junk, similar to a bent wire. Luckily I was able to replace it with my original Taco antenna. The bracket that attaches to the fender is cheap junk too. After attaching the antenna, I was able to pull it out of its mount with ease and was never able to raise and lower it straight. In this case, "Made in China" left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. Just pass it on and keep going.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Good mount, weak mast

Those of you with 4Runners or 3rd Gen Tacomas know the pain of having a car that can easily drive 300,000 miles but whose antenna was obviously designed by an intern who did this do not do it. knows what he did. For those of you with broken antennas or antenna motors (and 3rd gen 4Runner owners, that's most of you), you have 3 options: - Replace it with a new power antenna ($$$ and annoying too ) - Replace with a Taco Whip antenna (bolt-on replacement, about $40-70 for parts) - Replace with…

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Damaged
