Enhance Audio Performance with Metra 72-1002 Speaker Connectors for Jeep and Eagle Vehicles Review

My jeep, like many cars, has weird factory speaker connections. This makes installing good aftermarket speakers child's play!

It would be easy to get 5 stars everything in it is easy to install. Revain said they would fit but clearly not, guess I'm stuck on cutting and splicing for which I give them 1 star. CHECK THE APPROACH, THEY WILL NOT FIT THE '97 JEEP CHEROEKE!

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I had to replace my old speakers. These connectors work, but only after they have been changed. The modification is easy. There is a guide on the back of the connector. To make it usable you have to cut it off. It is then plugged into a standard socket.

Revane said they would fit my '97 Cherokee. They didn't fit at all, so they're useless. Now I don't know what to buy because I can't seem to trust Revane's description. For €7, I don't think it's worth sending it back. Plus they look like a decent product provided they fit your vehicle.

These adapters fit perfectly on my '98 Dodge Ram standard door frame. It's plug and play. Just plug them into your door wiring harness and the other end into your aftermarket speakers and you're good to go. You can't screw it up. The cables leading to the speaker can only go in one direction with certain connector sizes.

This item is a must have if you can't solder wires or crimp connectors. Keep in mind that these adapters have two sliding connectors and one is smaller than the other, but I'm pretty sure most speakers are like that now anyway. I highly recommend this adapter. This simplifies the installation of the speakers. Couldn't be happier. If you own a Jeep Cherokee XJ, note that a 1997-2001 XJ will not work. You need to buy another adapter.

Don't you love it when someone writes a review that says "It worked!" and they don't tell you the year and model of their car? Well I just tried them on my Jeep and they plugged in right where the Infinity speaker disconnects (that square plastic plug thingy) and the two pink ends went through the positive and negative tabs on the speaker terminal. Will not fit 1995 Dodge B2500 Van. The photos show that I need oval 4-pin connectors. It's probably not worth my effort to come back. Clarification. My van is a full size converted van with the Infinity system. PO cut the Infinity speaker wires to bypass the amp. Every truck is different check your speakers and connections before buying =ATTENTION=) At first I had concerns, then the fit looked better from the old one from 1999 feeling speaker. cut the wires, I almost thought I had one too, but luckily upon further inspection they gave me less trouble, at least for the front speakers I made, the rear ones would be stupid to work with (metal clamps on plastic - not the best designed by Dodge.)
