Metra 99 4644 Multi Kit Shelf Black Review

Everything is there and fits well. I had to use the deepest bezel depth to fit a modern aftermarket 1 din receiver in my 1985 air conditioned Chevy s10. Looks as good as anything, fits securely, doesn't squeak, rattle etc. The benefit of buying this kit with so much more than you need is the flexibility and future occasional need for plastic gizmos! You never know when you might need some weird plastic bracket to mount a relay or something.

When I first received the item I was a bit overwhelmed. There are a lot of plastic parts and my car wasn't in the manual. However, it turned out to be a good thing that I had to reuse the stock mounting brackets and ended up only using 3 of the dozens included in the kit. This kit fits my 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am perfectly. I placed a single DIN main unit where the original 1.5 DIN main unit (stock) was. Used to convert a single DIN (Jensen CAR910X) to 1.5 DIN in a 1990 Buick Reatta . Excellent level of flexibility and features. You only use about 1/3 of the parts in the bag, but this is a kit that covers a lot of options. The instructions were a little lacking and open to interpretation.
