🚗 Enhance Your Honda Dashboard with the Metra 99-7898 Multikit88-Up Dash Kit Review

My daughter needed to replace the stereo in her Honda. This kit was perfect for installing a new radio. The Dremel tool is the best way to remove unwanted protrusions. After installation, the radio worked!

Followed the instructions for my car model, removed the cleats I was told (all my cleats were clearly marked) and it fits great. The new head unit was installed directly and everything was done in about 30 minutes. Looks great!

The instructions are easy to follow and the unit installed quickly. The quality of the plastic is not very good, but for this money it is normal. I put it in a 2005 Honda CR-V that I don't plan on owning for long, so I didn't want to spend a lot. There was a small gap at the bottom that I couldn't hide. Small but I noticed. The only negative review is the flimsy plastic. It worked well.

Advertised to fit 1999 Honda CRV but not true. After spending a lot of time sticking it in a space it should have easily snapped into, some of the clips broke and the top buckled. I used a spacer on one of the clips to pull it back so it's not too bad as my entire dash was removed and had to be reassembled the same day, but it's pretty obvious it doesn't fit right and I will buy another set soon.

According to the 2002-2006 Honda CRV instructions you need to cut off all mounting tabs except M and H. However, the H tabs must line up with the slots in the frame of the original radio hole so they don't pinch anything and this prevents the underside of the mounting kit from snapping into the dash and thus rattling. Reading other reviews I thought, "Maybe they just misunderstood the instructions. But of course the directions couldn't have been more wrong, even if they tried. Says leave the E and J tabs to install in a '94 Acura Legend. That's what I do. And the E and J tabs don't even come close. I will order another one and put it in BEFORE I cut off any protrusions. Purchased to fit a single DIN radio on a 2003 Honda CR-V. The instructions indicated the tabs to remove, but they were not on the mounting bracket. All the extra parts in the bags, including screws, were not needed, just the main mount itself. There are cutouts in the underside of the factory frame. I left the bottom tabs on the bracket lined up with these slots and the directly opposite mating tabs at the top of the mounting bracket. I deleted all other tabs. It still doesn't fit perfectly and
