Description of Mettler Silk-Finish Cotton Thread, 2000 yd/1829m, Candlewick: Premium Quality Thread for Quilting, Sewing, and Embroidery Projects

This 100% cotton thread is great for any cotton creation. It has a luxurious-soft effect with high breaking resistance. As with all silk finish weights, it is color fast. Use needle size 70-80.

Great Quality Thread for Crafting

Based on my experience, this thread is fantastic for all sorts of crafting projects. The silk finish gives a beautiful sheen and the variety of colors is impressive. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey compared to other thread brands. Overall, I highly recommend this thread for any crafting enthusiast.

Pros
  • High-quality silk finish adds a luxurious touch to any sewing project.
Cons
  • The thickness of the thread can cause it to break more easily when used in high-speed machines or with heavier fabrics.

Great quilting yarns and lots of them!

Excellent cotton thread for quilting and general use. For best results, use a separate filament stand on the machine.

Pros
  • Like all tissue paper weights, unstained.
Cons
  • Has been damaged.

Don't rely on Prime Delivery

My sewing machines love this thread and it works great with it. What I don't like has nothing to do with the product, everything to do with the shipping. I have Prime and pay $100/year for 2-3 day shipping which takes a week. Most often delivered by post! annoying!

Pros
  • Use #70-80 needles
Cons
  • Not bad but...
