i use for oven mitts etc for this - great product - just wish the hook was a bit bigger so it's more convenient for kitchen towels, thicker pull tabs etc (see rice). Although it still works. For these purposes, the magnets are very strong - stronger than necessary. Right, I haven't tried really heavy objects, but these are powerful little magnets.

I know people buy these for cruises as most of the "walls" in cruise ship cabins are magnetic. But they have many other uses. One of my favorite ways is to put it next to the washing machine and hang things up when you take them out, such as clothes. B. Delicate items that you do not want to tumble dry. Or the side of a key cooler or something (they don't stick to a stainless steel front).

These things are the best! I just wish I had more vertical metal surfaces. I originally bought these to hang all my beautiful surgical cloth masks on the fridge (I'm building up quite a collection). I just bought another set to hang my sunglasses on. I just hang an O-ring (like on keychains) on a hook and then a pair of sunglasses, and now I can quickly select (and match with the mask) them on my way out the door. :-)

WILL NOT HELP EVEN 2 LBS. The listing shows 18 pounds so I bought to store our hanging toiletry bags for the cruise. I needed something to hang a birthday poster on the large patio door. I didn't want to use tape or pins. These magnetic hooks were perfect! The magnet is really strong. I attached some hooks to the top metal frame and hung the banner. I attached some to a metal strip to store for my feather duster and dust bag. My daughter took a few of these and now uses them for necklaces. They can't carry super heavy items but for my needs they are exactly what I was looking for.

update 5/2019 - I tried these hooks again on a recent cruise and they worked GREAT! The walls in our cabin, bathrooms and cabin doors were the places where we hung these clips. They were perfect for hanging swimwear, sportswear, pool bags, etc. It seems like the key was to attach them to a large, very strong, metal surface. These are good decent quality hooks but the magnets are relatively weak, not nearly as strong as the description says. I bought these to replace the check hooks I used on my fridge because the texture of the fridge walls didn't help them stick very well. I use a calendar hook and 3 microwave lid hooks. I needed these magnets to hold a 3-5 lb bag of assorted screws. The weight of the bag is about 4 kg. Nothing in the bag at the moment except a few small boxes of screws and a small tape measure.
