Great little center speaker!

Recently purchased this center speaker. I've just upgraded my Denon avr-S940 receiver, I used to have an old JVC surround system, it's very outdated. After hooking up the surround speakers, I noticed that the small satellite speakers didn't sound very good and I had to turn the volume up almost to the max to hear them. I decided to hook up a couple of Infinity 6X9 reference speakers, install them in a couple of 6X9 speaker cabinets, and mount them on some speaker stands I had laying around in…

Sounds fantastic with enough power

Although they are a bit delicate, they need power to accurately reproduce great sound. Get something better like computer speakers and a music stereo combined. The size was perfect and I'm a big fan of the D'Appolito configuration. I just used the parts available to power them with the parts I had in stock. I used a 120V/12V to 30A converter to power a 50W per channel PPI car amp. Although the system was loud, I didn't find it powerful enough, so I replaced the amp with a Rockville db25 2800W…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Unbelievable!: Bookshelf speakers

As a huge fan of the MB42X speakers I couldn't help but buy myself a set. I bought two and use them as left and right networks on my stereo. I got them earlier this week and let them play for several hours a day to break them in. And they didn't disappoint me! They're remarkably smooth and well balanced for such an inexpensive speaker. They sound just like the MB42X but with a better base. No lower base, but the two woofers seem to make the bass response more pronounced. Bass response is pretty

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I'm nervous
