Although they are a bit delicate, they need power to accurately reproduce great sound. Get something better like computer speakers and a music stereo combined. The size was perfect and I'm a big fan of the D'Appolito configuration. I just used the parts available to power them with the parts I had in stock. I used a 120V/12V to 30A converter to power a 50W per channel PPI car amp. Although the system was loud, I didn't find it powerful enough, so I replaced the amp with a Rockville db25 2800W amp. I know it's an exaggeration, but it was free. Well, let me just say that the sound game has changed for the better. The level of detail is outstanding, the tweeters are flat and I also had to dampen the bass by a few dB. I have read many reviews claiming that these speakers have many flaws. I certainly can't think of any other speaker at this price that sounds as good as this one with the right amplification. Very happy with this purchase.
