Good But Expensive: Power and Hand Tools

These are very well made clamps. However, one problem is that if you leave some of the threads on them unscrewed and they slide down the wood, they can get stuck and the paint can peel off. And they are very expensive. But they do what they are supposed to do and are great for cuddling etc. If only they were half the price.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Great idea but a bit expensive

Great product but as the name suggests quite expensive but very versatile. The cool thing is that in whatever countertop you have you can just slide the dovetail in and now you have a clamp that adjusts to the length of the dovetail. Just make sure you cut the straight cutter first before using the dovetail or you'll have too much wood to pull out and make a mess.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Misleading Image: Clamps

Clamps work. Simply good. The main image in Amazon Mail is usually what you receive in the package. I was expecting two collars and a swallowtail. When it arrived without the dovetail attachment, I went back and read the fine print that said the attachment was sold separately. Too bad I didn't read all the information. You must mark the painted parts with the dovetail mallet stating that it is sold separately.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for store fixtures and fittings

Forget T-rails and 1/4" or 5/16" screws. This makes it easy to install a built-in clamp for any jig or fixture. I used a Freud 1/2" 14 degree dovetail bit. Make sure the bit is 3/8" tall and the clamps work like a champ. So far I've been using them as the clamp for my desktop router table, when Stop block for my bandsaw and table saws This is really a brilliant innovation I'm taking off one star because of the price They should be $25-30 for wider distribution.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Versatile, flexible and yet sensitive

Flexible concept, extremely versatile. Terribly salty price for a limited edition anger clip. Same price no matter where you look. I now have two pairs which will cover most of my needs. I was able to find a pair of Dewalt rail saw clamps that I could route to a similar profile (to fit the dovetail groove) to give a larger clamping range (an additional 2" in length). Clamps were longer and cheaper. There is something to consider when your needs exceed current supply.

Pros
  • Dovetail slot everywhere clamp. New soft grip handle.
Cons
  • Without automation

love these things; the best after sliced โ€‹โ€‹bread.

I'm torn between Festool or Micro jig clamps but Micro jig clamps definitely have a few major advantages over Festool clamps. Having owned both, I can confidently say the clamps match the match. Both clamps are very similar in strength, price, and overall clamping capacity, but that's where the similarities end. I have tried unsuccessfully to use my miter saw to get a perfectly straight cut on a curved and rounded piece. In the end I decided to make a simple attachment and try to make the sameโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Compatible with 3/4" x 3/4" pawls for quick cocking
Cons
  • Only available in black

It's a clamp! in power tools and hand tools

It doesn't seem to matter what your hobby is as long as it's related to creating, assembling, gluing , reinstall disc brake pistons in the caliper or just a flashlight, sooner or later you will need a clamp. I have drawers full of brackets, each apparently for a different bracketing task. As I tried to think about what to say in this review, I thought how many of these clips I have could be replaced with just this one. Answer for almost everyone! Take the usual clamp "C". Fixed head andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Work smart and build taller table saw fences, straight rails and hundreds of new jigs
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes
