Required for fitting non-genuine Pioneer head units without a speed sensor in order to use all menus while driving. It also saves you having to dismantle the center console just for the parking brake. While I don't recommend watching movies while driving, you can do that too. On my Porsche 996, this saved me the extra headache of accessing the parking brake sensor. The price is justified by the easy installation.

At first I thought I didn't need this item because I wouldn't watch videos while driving, but quickly realized that without it I was also basically stuck menu functions.
