Top-Quality Ball Attachment for Accurate Measurements

Based on our OWN experience with this industrial and scientific equipment we highly recommend the Micrometer Ball Attach for dimensional measurement. It is easy to use and provides precise results for diameters up to 250. The stainless steel construction adds durability and the attachment holds up well for repeated use .The only drawback we found is that it may need more cleaning to maintain accuracy, but this is a small tradeoff for the quality of measurements. Overall, we consider this…

Pros
  • Accurately measures balls with diameters up to 250
Cons
  • Not suitable for measuring objects with diameters greater than 250

Precision at its finest

Based on our own experience this product is a must-have for any machinist or mechanical engineer .The attachments provide accurate measurement and the micrometer is easy to read. The ball attachment allows for smooth and consistent rolling on the surface being measured. The only downside is the price, but the precision and reliability are worth the investment..

Pros
  • Highly precise measurements can be obtained with the Micrometer Ball Attach 0 250 Dia.
Cons
  • Requires significant training to use effectively.

They suck: Accessory

While they're easy to install, I used the mic as a gauge and ran the test pattern between the peaks at the preset setting. The problem is that the tips are bent, resulting in an erroneous measurement. Starrett's micrometer tips are much better, but a little more difficult to install. I would not recommend this product.
