I bought this to protect my surfacebook's screen and also to provide some privacy on the plane/commute. When the screen was plugged in, everything was dark (even at max screen brightness) and 1/3 of the screen was blurry even when viewed directly. I'm sending it back - not sure if the glass based protectors let more light through but it was unusable.
