I was hoping this was the reason my mother-in-law's microwave didn't work, but it doesn't. Although the price was worth it!

This item was the perfect replacement for what I needed. I ended up returning the product because the microwave had more serious flaws, otherwise it would have worked fine. Found the main transformer burned out, repairs are too expensive.

Huge waste of time. I installed a new capacitor and found that its leads were 3/16" wide instead of 1/4" as advertised when trying to splice the wires. Of course they don't stay because the terminals are too small. Very frustrating.

The capacitor I ordered was 1/4 inch and the packaging said 1/4 inch. There was actually a 3/8 inch in the box. i have to return it I recommend buying both sizes and only returning the one you don't need. It's still cheaper than buying from the microwave manufacturer.

My old capacitor has a short circuit. That was the only problem with my 10 year old GE microwave. I replaced it with this little one and it's working fine again. I hope we have a few more years. By the way - for a perfect and easy replacement, choose the type/model/replacement option carefully, apparently some of them have wider or narrower terminals.

I like that they are as compact as possible. They also deflate a lot quicker than others I've used. (I always short these capacitors out when I'm completing projects as they can still hold a lethal charge.) When working with high voltages they can make a great sane transformer circuit or part of a power supply. I would give five stars but spade lugs aren't 1/4", so I was a bit disappointed when my disconnect terminals didn't fit.
