I bought this for DC wiring hoping to have positive and negative connections for 12 components. There is a bridge between the two lanes. It's removable, but without additional washers, the bars won't sit flush with the stand. The cover sits about 1/4 inch above the ports, so doesn't really protect anything.

This is a good design and works well but I bought this for the negative and positive terminals for a project. There is a 1" nickel plated copper rod that holds both sides at the correct height. The bar MUST be present for the hoops to attach properly to the legs. If I hadn't noticed this before I connected the lithium ion battery, I would have burned my house down. This tire is incorrectly advertised. Pictures in ads are not what you get. As shown in the attached picture, you can clearly see that the bus I received has a jumper that was originally connected positive to negative when I received it. This bridge strap is nowhere to be found and is clearly missing from all the photos they have shown in their ad.
