Miele Vacuum Cleaner Dusting Brush Review

We have lost the original dusting brush that came with the Miele vacuum cleaner. While I have no doubt that the Amazon product was an original Miele part, the original was better made, probably because Miele is now using cheaper materials than a few years ago when we bought a vacuum with an extra cloth.

Although this product is sold under the Miele brand, it cannot be an OEM. Made cheap. If the brush is rotated 90°, it will not remain blocked. I already have many Miele products and this is the first time I have had to order a spare part. If this is indeed an OEM part I am extremely disappointed in the quality of their replacement parts.

This brush fits my Miele Titan vacuum cleaner and does the job perfectly. But the bristles are made of some kind of synthetic fiber that isn't very soft. I hesitate to use the brush on delicate, easily scratched surfaces. I don't think my vacuum's original dusting brush had natural fibers, but it was a lot softer. I think at some point I will try to give the original brush a thorough wash and only use it on delicate surfaces, and then use this new brush on harder surfaces.
