Nice and sharp. for wood chisel

I'm a beginner carver so wasn't sure what to order other than the V tool. I'm glad I ordered this one because it works well for me.

Sharp but not V shaped as advertised

Mine was sharp but the sharp groove looked more like a shovel than a V which I had to cut through the vinyl tile in front of it. second layer carefully. I had to return it.

Excellent wood carving tool

This was just the size we needed to complete our set and have a detailed wood block cutter for engraving. These are sharp, easy-to-use tools that are worth the money.

Great product that is already sharp and ready to use.

Absolutely amazing. Bought new to carving and a few other tools that just weren't sharp and lasted a long time when sharpened. This tool is my favorite thank you.

Sharp, thin + you = precision

Anyway, based on my limited experience, I've found this tool to be easier to use than other 1.5mm V-notches I've used before and started trying . less detail, for $7 it's a great standalone tool

Outstanding quality for the price.

Like the feel of the grip and the notch quality is pretty good. One star deducted because even at 1.5mm (which should be similar to speedball cutters) it's still a bit too big for very complicated die cutting. Again, they are for other types of wood carving.

Sharp V fits wood chisel

As you can see from the photo it is not round at all. I pushed it through the soft wood of a cypress knee and a piece of oak with equal ease. If it doesn't hold an edge, it will be great. Cuts through very thin lines, which is what I was looking for. For the price it gets 5 stars.
