I bought these to replace the belt buckle on a RothCo tactical backpack. The strap on the backpack is 1" and 7/8" " wide and the buckle fits perfectly. This buckle will not work with straps or webbing wider than 2 inches. The buckle is solid and fits together without much play/looseness. In fact, it appears to be more durable than the original buckle.

I used them to connect 2 inch nylon tape for a boundary line for a sand volleyball court. The last buckles lasted years before they started to break. These lasted 2 or 3 weeks before. they started to break. I had 3 failures out of 16 so it wasn't a single defect. They don't deserve to be called "army". They appear to be strong and tough, but they are actually quite fragile.

The old snap insert on my 25 year old tool belt was broken and quite questionable until I stumbled across it. Turns out the new clasp fits the old buckle like it was made for that, so they should be pretty standard. The belt is like new again. The buckle insert is a little stiffer than the old one, hopefully it will last longer, but now I have a few spares that will probably outlive the strap.

Shocking quality for the money. I bought this to redesign a collar for my 80 lb American Bulldog mix, it originally had teeth but they were defective, sticking out and biting him and me. I wasn't expecting this to work as he sometimes pulls when he's excited but I put this together and it's now my favorite collar of his because it's so quick to put on and take off. Fantastic quality. It looks amazing and the fact that it's so strong is amazing!

These clips are cool! I bought these along with a 10 yard roll of 2 inch webbing. I was able to cut the strap to the correct length, attach these clips to each end, and I had exactly what I needed for a lot cheaper than buying pre-made straps. I needed 2" straps to wrap around the different sizes of memory foam toppers that I keep for different uses when I have guests. These clips do not require sewing.
