Requires an updated quick release port.

This tire gauge/inflator is good. You should make a 3/8 inch air inlet, not 1/4 inch. If so, you could buy a 3/8 male to 1/2 female adapter. This is done so that you can feed him a large volume of air. After all, this is a tractor tire gauge for large diameter valve stems.

This inflator is the best! absolutely worth owning.

I have been making adapters for my large vehicles for many years. Either get a large diameter adapter for a regular air chuck, or swap out the tire air shafts for smaller (regular sized) ones. Now there is no need to think. I can connect it to any air compressor via 1/4 NPT or Chicago fitting. Makes life so much easier when you only need to refill 1 part instead of 5. Too bad I didn't find them years ago.

Pros
  • Tires and wheels
Cons
  • Alright

Worth knowing 2 things

Good quality. I was looking for a "quick fill" solution for large 22.5" commercial tires. It's better than what I had, but there are two things to note: 1. I assumed it would be a 1/2" or at least a 3/8" air hose since it's considered "big". Diameter" is marked. That's not the case. The hose has an inner diameter of 1/4 inch. It's probably still not the smallest "throat down" point, but after switching to 1/2" air line it was a bit disappointing to see all the high flow air drums and fittings…

The appliance mechanic must have a tool!

I love this tire inflator! I'm a Heavy Equipment Mechanic dealing with large Volvo, Cat, Terex etc tires. Before purchasing this Milton compressor I used a large diameter cartridge which was blocked by tilting it in the correct direction on the valve stem and then used a separate lg gauge to check the pressure in psi. My other option was to use my Astro Digital inflator with a regular stem and screw-in adapter. Both options were far from ideal and are now a thing of the past. Checking and…
