This tool is pretty neat! It does exactly what it says it does. I'm just not sure why they call it MindMapper when it looks and acts much more like MS Office. MindMap is a great name because it gives me a mental image of what this software does. MindMapper however is a little confusing and difficult to navigate. I am able to create a mindmap but it doesn't seem to allow me to edit any of the maps. Once I save the map, it closes and won't open again unless I reinstall the software. I'm unable…

Pros
  • You get a blank screen with your shape objects.
  • It's easy to use.
  • There is a trial version available for testing purposes.
Cons
  • I found a few examples online, but most of them were outdated
  • You have to pay to unlock certain features.

Mindmapper is a great tool for organizing your thoughts and ideas.

MindMapper has a very user friendly UI, a lot of functions and even a small free version available. MindMapper has a wide variety of formats that allow you to customize it according to your needs. I use MindMapper to organize my study notes, to draw diagrams to represent ideas, to plan long term projects, and to find the best…

  • Can create different views of your information and collaborate with others.
Cons
  • No support or documentation for users who aren't native English speakers.
  • Not intuitive at first.
  • May be overkill for what you want to do.

MindMaster is my favorite software for creating mind maps.

MindMaster is my favorite software for creating mind maps. It has a huge collection of themes, which is perfect if you don't want to spend hours downloading a bunch of them, but still want to make beautiful mind maps. Another great feature is the ability to connect topics and assign colors to the various nodes. For example, I often color code people, locations, products, dates, tasks, etc. when making mind maps so that I can more easily distinguish between them later. This makes it a lot easier

Pros
  • It has an extensive collection of theme colors
  • The ability to create multiple trees with drag and drop
Cons
  • Some themes don't work well in smaller screens (13
