🔘 Minka-Aire WC400 White DC Fan Wall Remote Control - Full Function Review

Works as intended. It would be nice if the buttons were a bit bigger. I know you can fit a lot on a small notepad, but I'm sure there's a better way.

Works well although hard to find ceiling fan speed setting numbers at night and on/off switch on top. The pad should light up when touched so you can see the numbers to adjust the speed setting. Love it but wouldn't buy another one unless they upgrade to night views.

I wish it had a screwless lid like the Lutron Claro lid. (I'll be using a Lutron overlay.) EDIT: The screw holes on the cover are non-standard. Keep the original screws if you want to use a different fairing. Also, it's a pity it doesn't have screw terminals, I don't like stranded wires on solid wires with wire nuts.

This wall switch was surprisingly easy to install. It works like a remote control so there is no need to plug it in the old way to control the fan and lights. You connect it to a circuit that powers the fan and light combo, and the fan speed and dimming of the light are controlled via buttons and sent to a receiver in the fan. It looks like a remote control but no one can lose it as it is wall mounted. Make sure you have purchased the correct wall remote control for your Minka fan model.

Unstable performance. Sometimes it works with one click. Sometimes it takes a few clicks, sometimes not at all. All buttons work the same way. As above. It works out. You may have to press the top two buttons multiple times (do they seem to do the same thing?) for the program to complete its task. I don't know how to control the dimming, it seems to be doing its job. The weird round control knobs control the fan pretty well, all the different stages/speeds. Very glad I found it. We have a rental and the remotes get lost or even just removed from the entrance of the room making it difficult to turn on the lights. Not anymore, they attach to the light switch box so the light can always be on. I docked the star for several reasons.
