Once installed, this product looks stylish. The light it emits is pleasant, with soft indirect light over direct diffused light. As mentioned in other reviews, this brass color is more like gold colored brass than champagne colored brass. If I wanted to be picky I'd add that the bottom ring trim is less gold than the ceiling mount section and brackets. However, all you notice is that it was undetectable when taken out of the box and on the ceiling.

I bought 3 of these when remodeling my home office mainly because I couldn't find another affordable option that would fit given the need for large fixtures and lots of light. However, I like them a lot better than I thought. They're an eye-catching addition to the office - in fact, they make a bold statement for the entire room. But I'm not even close to pairing them with extra door handles and hinges, which is disappointing.

We don't have a light in our entryway so I wanted a light in the hallway that would give off lots of light. Although it's a small room, Minka Lavery's hidden mount doesn't overwhelm him. I like that the top of the fixture is open, which allows the light to reflect off the ceiling as well as down, reducing the darkness/shadows on the ceiling. I bought this beautiful lamp for DIY kitchen renovation. I wasn't overly concerned about falling off my 8ft ceilings, but there's plenty of presence without being overwhelming or too low. As everyone says "super easy to install". show how the light looks and works. Turning the switches back on I was a little annoyed to see that the light wasn't diffused into an even glow like I thought it would be in one of the pictures, but in fact in life you can clearly see three separate light sources within the mount.
