Great Lugnuts - Tires & Wheels

I bought these because I needed new lugs for the new wheels and I wanted them to have an open look. They were perfect for the car, really gave it a new look. The machined aluminum finish looked great and the quality of the lugs was great too. Only thing I have to say is that the locknuts are not marked and it's hard to know which ones.

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • There Are New Competitors

They are of terrible quality.

**Update** I haven't had them in my car for a long time and they are already discolored and faded. Not satisfied with the quality of these nuts. Very disappointed. They look great and are of great quality, but the wrench that comes with it (4 different sizes) doesn't fit. It wasn't tight enough on the nut so it slipped around the nut and damaged one of them when I tried to tighten it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Obsolete

Mishimoto dropped the ball on this one

Ok so I got these with a little discount on Revain so I thought snagging a Mishimoto item on sale is an absolute rarity and I did am thrilled. WHAT MISTAKE. An eye key initially only fits on one of the eyes. The real problem lies in the design. The way the lug seats cause the wrench and regular gauge 19mm sockets to rub against my Enkei rim when installing. I can't even use them. which business ended. Boo ๐Ÿ‘Ž

For the price I am very disappointed in Mishimoto

For the price I am very disappointed in Mishimoto. They're more like $20 nuts. Are they made out of aluminum cans and painted with a can of rattles? The first time I installed it, I was very careful and used a specified torque wrench. When my wheels were changed at the shop and they took them off a couple of times as if they were already off, he would put them back into shock drive at the lowest setting. A lot of paint was peeling off everywhere. Just not the quality I'm used to from thisโ€ฆ

Incorrect description and title!

Wrong description! They do NOT come with locks! They are NOT lock nuts. These are (20) regular nuts. ATTENTION! Update: After less than a year of very moderate use, one of the threads on the nut has completely failed. Aluminum is not the right choice if you change tires frequently. I drift and autox, so I change tires twice a month or more. I only used hand tools and a calibrated torque wrench. There is no reason why they should already have failed. The aluminum is probably of poor quality. Iโ€ฆ

Check connector and tip alignment before use

Good product. I liked the brand as I have used this brand in the past however this time the product was not made properly. For example, a socket that comes with clamp nuts will only fit 4 out of 20 clamp nuts. This happened due to the fact that some of the dwellings were irregularly shaped. Feel free to buy this item. I took the time to mount mine on the grinding wheel, but just double check your seat alignment order. If you have the same problem, you can always return it immediately. At leastโ€ฆ

Finishes will fade unless stored in a garage

I'm a bit late in my estimate but would like to save time on the purchase. I have to say I was very impressed when I first received them as they were very beautiful. However, the finish held up very poorly with the local Texan elements (at least in my case). After 2 months of use, the ears faded to a light pink color. Color aside they still do what I needed in the aftermarket apart from maintaining a nice finish. I would not buy this particular brand again. I would probably just spend more andโ€ฆ
