Excellent quality

This was a Christmas present for a very good home cook who wanted a top quality professional chef's knife. He loves to.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Lightly dented

expensive for what you get

This is a normal knife. Edge retention isn't the best, the factory edge is pretty weak and not easy to sharpen. In this price range you will find knives with the best features.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing

Simply the perfect knife

Aesthetically beautiful, very good finish, outstanding performance, beautiful and aggressive profile, devilishly sharp edge, prestigious steel and long lasting edge. Everything people with knives like.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Long time

My new favorite knife

The knife has become very sharp and handles like my 8 inch knife although it is larger. felt incredibly comfortable in my hand and if I ever lose or break it I'll be buying another in no time.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Damaged

The UX10 series is the flagship of Misono craftsmanship

After nearly two decades of working in banquet and commercial kitchens, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of knives. After leaving cooking school, I bought several different German knives. Their thick, hard blades withstood the abuse of a commercial kitchen, but after a 10-hour shift with nothing but prep work, my hand and wrist paid the price in spasms. Something had to be done to lighten the load! Knives are such a personal bone of contention that in a busy kitchen you're…

Pros
  • Durable workmanship
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Simply the best chef's knife

I bet you never thought slicing a tomato could be a religious experience, did you? I didn't really know until I got this knife. The 9.4" UX10 is the best utility knife I've ever owned. Pros: The factory edge is impressive. I'm no whetstone expert, but it's as good as or better than a hand-polished edge. - The asymmetrical bevel helps the food bit to loosen but without a tendency to draw like a one sided blade - OMG balance. This knife is so beautifully balanced. Keeping it is a dream come true.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor problems
