Type of review

First bought in a supermarket a few months ago. I don't like typical deodorants that smell like perfume and make me itch, so I decided to buy this stuff. When it ran out I bought it in bulk from Revain. When I first heard "with oxygen power" or whatever it says in there about that thing, knowing a little bit about marketing I immediately thought it was a smart way to say "we've diluted our formula" , because technically oxygen in water is (H2O) I never bought Mitchum's before his formula…

Terrible product combining deodorant and antiperspirant

Something is wrong with the composition of this product. I used a different brand of jelly and it continued to be even and smooth. This product is like almost dry flour and feels like it when applied. The rod that moves the product up the tube destroys the product and does not move up the tube. I threw away the last tube and only used 1/4 of it. I was hoping that the second tube would be better. No, that is not so. There are 4 tubes left. This is one of the worst products for men I have ever…

brightens the armpits of your shirts! DO NOT BUY

Reading other reviews on here I finally solved the mystery of why my shirts are getting white armpits! I've been using this thing for a couple of years now and I'm only now noticing the armpit discoloration on my dark colored shirts. I didn't notice in time. Now some of my nicest shirts are ruined! WTF? so lame. I am angry. I'm throwing away my stash and switching to unscented Arrid XX (which people like and doesn't bleach their shirts) http://www.amazon.com/Arrid-Antiperspirant-Deodorant-Unscen…

Mitchum makes it so that some body parts can be sniffed.

Daddy's armpits are very happy to be covered with Mitchum. Each of them always tells me sweet stories about how they waited for a new layer of antiperspirant and panned their stories when they saw Mitcham emerge from a drawer. They enjoy every touch and never complain. Mitcham has two new friends behind my father. It might be worth trying on the inner thighs to alter groin odors. However, it remains to be seen whether the benefits outweigh the costs. After all, many people love to smell their…

Terrible new product replaced the one shown.

I ordered this specifically to have a stock of products that have always been excellent. For some reason, manufacturers have replaced it with an awful substitute that's more water-like in consistency than gel. Unfortunately the seller sent me a new composition instead of what is shown in the photo. We can only hope that the manufacturers will come to their senses and give us back the old product. I'm bringing back that awful "new Coca-Cola" crap.

The oxygen formula is in fact a diluted gel

I don't know what happened to the formula but I don't seem to be the only one who noticed. The old version of the gel as originally pictured was a quick drying, long lasting product. In this new version, the applicator slots have been replaced with dozens of tiny holes, and the gel is now very thin, causing it to pop out of the bottle when applied. , or runs down the edge of the bottle, you can even see the watery consistency "jiggling" when holding the bottle. It also dries slowly and after…

Still the Strongest Deodorant - Leak Complaints Solved

There are several reviews where users reported problems with deodorant leaking between uses. First, the deodorant solution is as effective as ever, so you don't just have to worry about the formula. To prevent a leak there is a simple solution that has worked 100% for me. Turn the dial 2-3 times in the opposite direction to extrude more gel. This creates a slight void between the gel and the top of the applicator, preventing it from leaking due to various physical reasons that aren't worth…

AVOID THE NEW FORMULA - IT'S LOOK

Like many of the reviewers here, I have been using Mitchum Power Gel Unscented for a long time, probably around 20 years. It's been a bathroom staple and has always been pleased with the efficiency and [lack of] smell. I was shocked when I first started using the latest batch of Revain. The "new formula" is a mess. Literally - it flows down my arm. It's sticky too. In short, I HATE IT. What damn marketing MORON came up with this crap? Did they even test it before launching it? I'm going to buy…

Licks horribly when laid on its side

I have been using Mitchum for many years. The packaging and formula appear to have changed in two very disturbing ways: 1) The gel is now very runny. So much so that it leaks when laid on its side. So if you have a first aid kit that keeps it upright, you're fine. However, if you plan on putting this in a drawer or travel set, DO NOT BUY IT. If you ever have to lie on your side IT WILL LEAK and over time you will likely lose at least 25% due to that leak. Even worse, it wreaks a complete havoc…
