No more shaft play: Spare parts

Not all parts fit. However, the bearings worked fine and this eliminated the shaft play. After that I didn't balance the turbo.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Requires socket

You won't find a better set!

Best td04 repair kit on the market. I've ridden this set for over 80,000 miles at almost 20psi outlet pressure, plus 14 others rebuilt and have had no problems on the road.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Zero

Really bad quality for turbocharger

Brought this to my turbocharger repair and the shaft play has gotten worse and now my compressor wheel is rubbing against the housing. Not all parts were the right size: the piston ring on the turbine shaft was too big, the oil slinger plate was too small, and the thrust bearing was completely missing.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Other Other

Perfect for td04 turbo

I rebuilt my tdo4 turbocharger on my Subaru Impreza WRX 02. The turbo was in very poor condition before the rebuild, all the seals were blown and it had a lot of shaft play. This kit was very easy to assemble, everything fitted well and there was no more shaft play. I would recommend using assembly grease when installing a new kit.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything
