Inaccurate and Overpriced Micrometer

As a result of my tests, I determined that this micrometer is not worth the investment. The measurements were consistently off and the carbide tip showed signs of wear after only a few uses. The only positive aspect was the ease of use. Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros and I do not recommend this product..

Pros
  • High accuracy and precision
Cons
  • Requires careful handling to avoid damage to delicate carbide tip

Quality for every day

Use it almost every day, sent it in for AS9100 certification and everything was perfect as expected. I can't go wrong with Mitutoyo, I send them about $3000 worth of micrometers and calipers every year for calibration and everything is always perfect. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you.

Pros
  • All the best!
Cons
  • Dear
