So thankful for Mike.

I love this cine series and can't wait for the 50mm. I have 12mm and 25mm so far. If I had money I would buy them all. Honest. I would say a great entry level cinema lens.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Style 90

Excellent build quality

Build quality is excellent but image quality is not as good as I was hoping. It's not very sharp wide open and the image appears much darker compared to my other lens at the same focal length and aperture. I also bought a 16mm which gave me a similar result so I'm sending it back as well.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Has flaws

A great cinema lens at a great price!

I'm no longer impressed with this Meike 12mm. I'm using it on a BMPCC 4k setup and it works fine. Sharp, great contrast and colors and built like a tank. I have lenses that cost five times as much for my Sony setup and they don't seem to be as high quality as this one. Since then I've also bought a 25mm Meike and plan to build a whole set of cine lenses. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Incredible value, best camera lens

I have a Meike 25mm T2.2 as well as a 16mm T2.2 and would buy them again if I could including this 12mm. I really don't have enough disposable income to spend thousands and thousands on camera gear. So these Meike cine lenses are my saving grace, their image quality rivals lenses costing 5x their price without compromise. I can't wait for new cinema lenses to come out.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose

Fantastic lens with fantastic picture quality

$400 each of these lenses are an absolute steal! They are made of solid aluminum and have a very high quality finish. Combined with the Tilta Nucleus Nano, this is an amazing lens. I also bought the 25mm and 50mm lenses and plan to get all 6 once the 65mm lens comes out. I have two minor complaints: 1. The spacing between the 12mm focusing teeth is slightly different than the spacing between the other two lenses. I can still use it without reconfiguring the Nucleus N, but I do it anyway to…

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Protection

When I opened the box, I was surprised by the size. I thought it would be huge but it turned out to be very compact. I'm used to using Metabones 0.71x with Sigma Art Series and Panasonic MFT photo lenses. I wanted to buy stock cine lenses because I think the extra glass from Metabones will affect the image quality of my EF lens. Panasonic lenses focus-by-wire doesn't allow me to use stabilizers and focus tracking systems. When I first put this lens on my BMPCC4K I was amazed at the sharpness of

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Zero

Meinke's third cine lens, the 12mm T2.2, is worth the wait!

Having found 16mm and 25mm T2.2 cinema lenses with excellent value for money, I was excited to try the 12mm lens as my interest in video recording is more aimed at travel and landscape photography (wide angle). 12mm is worth the wait - combined with my BMPCC 4K or ZCam E2 4K - the captured image is pristine. While any manual-focus cine lens must use focus-assist technology (focus peaking) to be accurate during capture, a few extra seconds to check focus always pays off visually. For the average

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Damaged

Great cinema lens

Considering that the only prime cinema lenses available are the Rokinons (the Veydra is out of business at the moment and nobody else makes cinema lenses under $1000 anymore), Meieke's line of cinema lenses with Fixed focal length it is very welcome addition. To me Meiekes seem to be much better built than Rokinons (they seem to be more durable despite being smaller than Rokinons) and although they are advertised as T2.2 and Rokinons as T1.5 I prefer the feel of Meikes and believe that their…

Pros
  • Durable finish

  • Sad packaging
