The case is so narrow that the tiny plastic bristles of the reconnect button on the AirPod case are constantly pushed down. My AirPods keep reconnecting now and turn into crappy overpriced paperweights with this case. I can only hope that cheap manufacturing is to blame and not just the poor design of the case itself.

This is a really great little case. I really liked it, except for one near fatal flaw. There is a small protrusion on the inside at the back that can be used to press the pairing button. The problem is that it keeps the button pressed the whole time, so you can never get out of pairing mode. I'd been frustrated for days and was willing to return my "refurbished" AirPods Pro as a bad buy when I decided to remove the cover to fix a connection issue.
