🏎️ Collectible Construction Model Car Kit Review

Gift to my husband for Christmas. It wasn't the only model I gave him, so he hadn't started building it yet, but we took it and looked at the details. Appears to be very good quality. I'll try to remember to write an updated review if he does to comment on his creation.

Terrible design. The instructions are very vague and the design makes it very unreliable when assembling. You need to hold 3 things in place before adding another one and then secure them. I tried this as I'm a big fan of wooden machine models. This is a big disappointment. I don't normally write reviews but thought I should warn people. This may be fine for experienced builders, but not for regular builders.

This set DOES NOT include pliers as per FAQ. In addition, conventional metal cutting sets are not suitable for stable cutting of 3 mm thick metal. You need a sturdy miniature cutter. I'm looking for another one. The kit does NOT warn you about using above average bits. The rest of the kit looks fine, but I couldn't find a cutter that lasted more than a few cuts.

Took me about 7 hours to fully assemble and pricked my thumb, works twice as fast, gears are more difficult to make but still look awesome. I've always looked into Metal Earth kits, but this kit is much better, both in design and in the instructions. It's also a good size, similar to one of my 1/24 scale diecasts, only shinier. It also looks like a supernatural machine (grandmother's words). Great model for the price.
