Good product for the drain filter

UPDATE: Defective and had to be replaced after two years of use. Bought to replace a leaking sink drain. Immediately below the exchange, since I've done this before. The only mess with the installation was that the rubber grommet was attached to all the threads of the drain.

Good replacement part

I only bought this kit for a lift rod with a plastic ball on it. My original rusted and broke right on the bowl so the sink plug just fell off and couldn't stand up. All in all, everything works as it should and that's all you need with this type of product.

Ideal for kitchen and bathroom utensils

I bought two of these to replace the 'spare' I bought from Home Depot last year which was a different brand. They're easy to install, which is probably why they didn't come with instructions. However, the videos on the internet helped. They are better than the drains that came with the Moen faucets I have previously purchased.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Pretty good

Direct replacement for what I had.

I'm not a plumber but I love doing what I can. It was just what I needed! All you need are some very large wrenches, some plumbing, a bucket and some paper towels. The whole job took less than an hour. Saved me at least a hundred dollars on a plumbing visit! And it was a fun job, if a bit messy. As long as it looks identical to what you have, I say go for it! :)

Moen 96497 Flush toilet

The collar around the drain in our sink came loose from the rest of the drain so I ordered it as a replacement. The entire drainage assembly can be easily disassembled. Our existing device isn't Moen, but we didn't encounter any compatibility issues when using it. I also ordered a sink (Vakly Rectangular Plastic Sinks, Grey, 8L) to put underneath when I disassemble the drain to catch the water.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Empty

Works perfectly. set offer.

Works great once installed. I suggest installing the plastic stem before tightening the nut. This way you can be sure that the lever is correctly positioned. I tend to overtighten even with lots of teflon tape. If you have already tightened the nut, this can cause difficulties in repositioning. My lever is broken. Tried various fixes, didn't help. Should have used it from the start.

Simple and well closed even for me.

I've never done "plumbing" around the house. But when the drain openers didn't work, I disassembled the pipes under the sink. I was afraid of cracking the drain when removing it and didn't want to risk putting it back in. I ordered this. It was cheap, fit well and closed. The only thing I would like to improve is to add instructions or a diagram of how this should work together. I kept wondering, thought I had it wrong and took it apart only to realize I was right the first time.

  • Complete set

  • Useless functions

ITEM COULD BE BETTER

The extension that controls the piston has internal threads approximately 1" deep or less and has only 3 rows of threads for metal drainage with 75+ threads. PROBLEM: The limited number of threads on the plastic adapter is insufficient to securely attach it to a metal drain. I tried using tape but ended up breaking 3 strands and I couldn't stop the water from leaking out. Now I have to order another, less expensive style that has the plunger arm built into the metal drain itself and the stem is

Male vs Female

Our existing pipe broke, the part shown in gray in the picture. I went to a big department store and got what I thought was a replacement. It turns out that some drain assemblies are screwed on the outside of the gray element with threads on the inside of the silver element above to screw together, and some nodes are screwed on the inside of the gray element and outside the silver. one piece. Our existing drain is threaded on the outside of the silver piece which means I needed threads on the…
