Very good handrail suitable for the bathroom. Safety, Aids & Accessories

Home health care recommended that we install a grab bar in some old friends' bathrooms. This was the one they chose to match with the other fixtures they had. Assembly was easy, all necessary screws were included. The rod makes a very stable impression. The quality of the handrail is high. You are satisfied with your purchase!

Cheapest Stainless Steel Handrail

Great product. The surface is textured enough for wet or soapy hands, but not enough to leave small cuts. Installation is easy and looks professional when complete. and washing machine. If you need to mount it to a cavity wall and don't do this regularly it may be worth getting 'Moen' cavity wall anchor kits for the job. Not cheap but worth the money.

Pros
  • Fits me perfectly

Almost Redux on the tub and shower rails

As expected. Good looks and functionality. Installation is easier as the stem is straight and the pad slides over the stem away from the flange area as in the video. But the same problem with holes/slots in the weld flange (see Moen LRA8716D1GBN review). It was not possible to get a good spacing between the screws in the lug as some of them would be too close together or on the edge of the lug and didn't want to split the lug. Tried flipping it 180, same thing. The screws ended up tipping into…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Little things

It was sold for bathroom use but my contractor pointed out that the lack of a gasket made tiling impossible. Risk of cracking of the tiles during use. In addition, the straightening for a non-slip hold is completely inadequate. My other handrails have a much better embossed finish and padding, making them useful in the bathroom. I ended up just using this vertically on the drywall, not what I intended and used the other one in the tub.

Thoughtful design with a texture that improves grip and increases safety

These are awesome handrails. Be sure to install them with the ingenious Moen Securemount system, which allows you to install the poles without tearing the tile or other surface and attaching them to the studs. AMAZING design. These handrails are "finished" meaning they have a textured finish rather than flat and smooth. It really changes your ability to grip more securely, especially when your hands are wet (which you'd expect in a shower or bath). High quality, well designed and definitely…
