Moen MY6224BN Hamden 24-inch Single Towel Bar in Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Finish Review

I have bought the entire Hamden collection. The design of the mounts was of poor quality. One of the pieces came with a broken mounting clip. I was expecting better quality, very disappointed.

Looks great and coordinates with other Moen brushed nickel accessories. The main complaint is that the towel rail is pretty flimsy and cheap looking. Too bad they couldn't make a thicker and nicer bar to match the holders.

I bought this from the Revain stock, supposedly in "like new" condition. It arrived without any fasteners or print character elements. The bar is fine and I have enough experience to install it, but it was frustrating to find all those details were missing.

The Moen Press and Mark installation system is not an accurate way to install this. If you buy this, measure your holes! Don't rely on a kit. The kit is too shaky to accurately mark the location of the hole. The bar itself seems solid enough, but not as strong as old-school towel rails.

We bought the Moen plumbing set because Moen is known for having quality faucets. However, the towel rails of several Moen lines (maybe all?) come with cheap plastic parts to assemble. Our contractor confirmed our suspicion that they would not survive. I bought this towel rail along with Costco's Moen bathroom accessory set (toilet paper holder, smaller towel rail, robe hook and towel ring) because I wanted a longer rod than the one in the kit. That rod alone cost almost as much as a set of items from Costco, and the fasteners were so flimsy that the rod could not be securely attached to the wall.
